Tweedy Goat by Mairi Hedges

£195.00

This beautiful goat sculpture has been handmade in Rogart in the Highlands of Scotland by artist Mairi Hedges. Each has been made entirely from foraged materials on Mairi’s own croft and comes with its own handwritten story included below…

“I like goats. I grew up with goats and am currently the carer (bulter) for a large brown number named Tartie. Rogart, where we live, also has a population of wild goats. This goat has a recycled wire skeleton (wire left over from our housebuild) and old fencing wire horns. It has homegrown willow legs and is stuffed with homegrown wool. It is covered in wool tweed selvedge that I found in a local second-hand shop. Its eyes are recycled copper (from old water tanks).”
